Hayden's school had their first Concert/Chili Social of the year last night. It's was a lot of fun. The 8th grade families brought the chili, 7th grade families brought the salad, and 6th grade families brought dessert. This year, they decided that instead of having the concert in the Middle School cafeteria, they would perform in the larger High School cafeteria. Great idea, because even that almost wasn't enough room :-) It was a packed house. There was tons of food and we got to see a bunch of people that we don't always get a chance to talk to.
Hayden was very excited for his first opportunity to perform in front of an audience. The Beginning Band did a WONDERFUL job!! They've only been playing for about 15 weeks. They are really coming along. There were also great performances from the Guitar class, the Symphonic Band, the Jazz Band and the Strings. Shoot, I just realized if the Chorus had been there to, we would have busted out of the seams :-)

Way to go, Hayden...And kudos to all the rest of your bandmates, as well!
The hard work now will surely pay off and shine big time for you all later on down the road!
